Saskatchewan, we must

Meet The Moment

In the face of

History is asking a question.

How will we respond?

the

New Century Party

The NCP is a new political movement for Saskatchewan, built on a simple, powerful idea: we must meet this moment, together.

The moment is one humanity has never faced before, with multiple crises converging at once. Yet, this is something Saskatchewan is uniquely positioned to address.

For generations, Saskatchewan has lived by a simple motto: We do it ourselves. We didn't wait to be profitable enough. We built public options, from healthcare to education, power to heating, communications to insurance, to ensure everyone has access to the services they deserve.

Our platform of 21 Policies for the 21st Century Saskatchewan continues this tradition. It is a detailed blueprint, developed in the open for all to see. We don't have all the answers, and there is no doing this alone. We invite you to read the plans, challenge our ideas, and help us build a future of hope and prosperity for all.

21 Policies

Starting with

Human Dignity

The primary duty of this province
shall be to uphold and protect it

The Rest Flow From There

Affordability

The cost of living has spiralled out of control and it is time for bold action. The NCP will implement a comprehensive affordability strategy that includes:

  • A new Saskatchewan Dignity Dividend to ensure everyone can meet their basic needs.

  • Raising the minimum wage to $25/hour, indexed to inflation.

  • Implementing a rent freeze followed by rent control measures to keep housing affordable.

  • Creating new Crown Corporations in multiple sectors to ensure public ownership and control over essential services, at a guaranteed affordable price.

Universal Health

Saskatchewan made a promise over half a century ago.

A Single Payer Plan that provides high quality medical services at $0 point of care.

Its time we deliver on that promise in full.

The New Coverage:

  • Mental Health
  • Vision Care
  • Hearing Care
  • Pharmacare
  • Dental Care
  • Community Care
  • Long-term Care

Paid for by a new payroll tax replacing the private insurance you and your boss pay now.

Just bring your Health Card. That's it.

Reconciliation

An NCP government shall require the full implementation of all 94 Calls to Action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission as well as the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

Meaning all projects affecting Indigenous Nations must acquire the Free, Prior, and Informed Consent of those Nations.

We know that reconciliation is not something dictated by the government, but a journey. A path shared in partnership and co-development with the Indigenous peoples who know this place we call home best.

Saskatchewan Sovereignty

The NCP believes Saskatchewan is stronger as a part of Canada. Yet we must be able to stand on our own, without relying on outside, uncontrollable forces dictating our future.

We must reclaim our resources and ensure they benefit the people of Saskatchewan, not distant shareholders.

We must protect our data and our privacy, by building a robust digital infrastructure that serves the needs of all Saskatchewan people.

We must build a resilient food system that supports local farmers, ensures food security, and reduces our dependence on global supply chains.
